Henderson, TN: Mr. Kenneth Ray Davis, age 81 passed away Tuesday evening, December 6, 2022, at his home.
He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Herman O’Dell and Lillian Ann Moore Davis. He went to Chester County Schools. He served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968, stationed in Millington.
He married Patsy Busby in 1966. After his service in the Navy, they made their home in Henderson. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a city mail carrier in Jackson and supervisor in the maintenance department, retiring after 30 years. He later was a Chester County School bus driver for 10 years.
He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ for over 50 years, having served as a deacon and then as an elder for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Davis; two daughters, Tina Davis and Crystal Hart (Michael) both of Henderson; two brothers, Harrial Davis (Margaret) of Jackson and Larry Davis of Henderson; two grandchildren, Kasey David (Nathan) and Andrew White; and great-granddaughter, Laiken White.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Davis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday December 9, 2022, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Mark Blackwelder and Doug Burleson officiating. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday.
