Mr. East passed away Saturday, May 12, at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
The husband of Dorothy (Dot) Davis East, who survives, he was a real estate agent and a mill wright. He was born October 25, 1924 in Manila, Arkansas, son of the late Charles Edward East and Mary Willie Morris East and lived in Bartlett prior to moving here 38 years ago. Mr. East was a member and served as a deacon at West Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on September 4, 1943, survivors include two daughters, Mary Miller of Southaven, MS and Deborah Dolan of Saulsbury; a son, Kenneth E. East, Jr. of Eads; a sister, Martha Bandy of Edwardsville, IL; 6 grandchilren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Olive Via, Clara Skelton and an infant sister; three brothers, Ralph, Bill and Joe East; and one great great grandchild.
