Kenneth D. Friend

Retired Master Sergeant Kenneth Dale Friend, 88, of Selmer, TN died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Oxford Baptist Hospital in Oxford, MS.

He was born on March 25, 1932, in Accident, MD, the eldest son of the late Lloyd and Nora McCartney Friend. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife, Jeanine E. Friend; three sisters, Lenora Steiding, Bessie Friend, and Marjorie Briggs; brother, Clifford Friend.

Kenneth Dale was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and a devout Christian. He will be remembered for his warm smile and loving heart.

He is survived by two children, Mauricette Harvell and husband, Alton of Michie, TN and Gerard Lawrenz and wife Tammy of Defuniak Springs, FL; four grandchildren: Melissa Duncan and husband Tim, Christina Page and husband Johnny, Tim Lawrenz and wife Christine, Amanda Arcabacio and husband Chris; five great grandchildren: Matthew Hunter King, Breck Duncan, Brandon Duncan, Alex Arcabacio, Lucas Arcabacio; two great-great-grandchildren, Leigha Grace Price and Vincent Jones; four brothers, Robert Friend of Maryland, Delmas and Leon Friend both of Ohio, Darrell Friend of West Virginia; two sisters, Myrtle Hanft Jenkins of Accident, MD and Ethelene Miconi of Ohio.
