Kenneth Stewart “Cannonball”, 77, of Bolivar, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Bolivar, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, September 12, 2026, from 5 to 8 PM, and Sunday afternoon, from 12 to 2 PM. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs, TN.
Kenneth Wayne Stewart was born Tuesday, October 5, 1948, to Elmer Thaxter Stewart and Pearl Webster Stewart in Bolivar, TN. Kenneth was an Army veteran, fighting two terms in Vietnam, and later served in the National Guard. He was a truck driver for 43 years, driving for several companies. Mr. Stewart was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton, TN.
Kenneth is survived by his five daughters, Denise Lambert (Adam) of Selmer, TN, Shasta Smith of Selmer, TN, Summer Mooney(Ronny) of Henderson, TN, Kimberly Williams Howell (Dewayne) of Selmer, TN, and Melinda Brisentine (Wendell); five brothers and sisters, Bobby Stewart(Ruthie) of Middleton, TN, Connie Hannis (Jimmy) of Bolivar, TN, Bonnie Sisco (Danny) of Bolivar, TN, Judy Wiggins of Bolivar, TN, and Rita Treadway of Jackson, TN; nineteen grandchildren, Kara, Jaycob, Jonathan, Anthony, Nick, Chris, Katie, Audrey, Allie, Dakota, John, Lucas, Cherish, Bailey, Layla, Anthony, and Caleb, Sheila Lowrance (Dustin) and Summer Williams; nine great-grandchildren, and his ex-wife, Teressa Plunk.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by, two sisters, Barbara Sipes and Jeanette Gladish; a brother, Jerry Stewart; a stepdaughter, Sheila White; a granddaughter, Heaven L. Stewart; and his first wife, Alice Faye McClain.
Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Middleton, TN.
