Henderson, TN: Oliver Kenneth Stumph, age 77, passed away March 3, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in the Phillips School House Community of Chester County, the son of the late Charles William and Helen LaVaughn Smith Stumph. He went to school at Phillips School House and graduated from Chester County High School 1953. He entered the U.S. Army in 1955 and started work with the ASCS Office as a clerk. He was in the Army National Guard for 34 years. In 1984 he became the Director of the ASCS Office and retired in 1996. He married Patsy Yarbrough in 1969. They made their home in Henderson all their life. He loved auctions, flea markets, antique malls and reading everything especially mysteries. He was a member of the Henderson Jaycees, the Henderson Lions Club, West TN Coke Club and a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson.He is survived by his wife, Patsy Yarbrough Stumph; two step sons, Bruce Hopper of Oakfield and Mike Hopper (Mary Beth) of Jackson; two grandchildren, Dustin Hopper and Jeri Cribbs; three great-grandchildren, Austin, Aleana and Suzana Cribbs; a brother, Charles Stumph, Jr.(Margaret) of Memphis; two sisters, Linda Stumph Kent and Penny Stumph Williams (Wayne) all of Henderson.He was preceded in death by a sister, Nelda Gaye Stumph Phillips.
