Kenneth Roger (Rod) Wood

KENNETH ROGER (ROD) WOOD

was born at home in Hardin County on November 24th, 1944 and left this earth from home on January 22nd, 2016 after a brief illness. His parents were Mancil and Louise Wood. He served in the Army after high school and came back home and studied electronics and began a career fixing televisions for Sears for 20 years. He was so very kind to animals and had worried the day before his passing about the poor little birds out in the freezing weather and about his favorite neighbor dog "Brownie".

Rod married Cathy Lynn Shelley on Valentines Day in 1979 and in their married life they loved many nieces and nephews.

Rod leaves behind Cathy and his best buddy, Jacob Childers and a whole lot of children who loved him very much. He also leaves behind 2 brothers, Bobby Woods and Ray Woods, both from Counce, Tennessee.

Rod's parents, Mancil and Louise and his sister Irene Wood Carroll and brothers, William Mancil, Jr., LeRoy, David and Danny Woods preceded him in death.
