Kennie Russell, Jr.
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late Kennie Sr. and Minnie Mae Love Russell.
On November 9, 1973 he was united in marriage to Sherry Welch, who survives.
Mr. Russell was self employed with Russell Bros. Masonry. He had previously worked for Clifton Manufacturing and Garan's. He lived in the Mt. View and the Swift Community all of his life. He was a member of the Mountain View Church of Christ. He was a loving and devoted father and husband, hardworker and done everything for his family and friends. He always loved to make everyone laugh. He loved playing music and watching sports with his family. He had a big heart and had love for everyone he ever met.
Mr. Russell departed this life on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the age of 56 years, 8 months, 20 days.
In addition to his wife, Sherry of Savannah, he is survived by 2 daughters, April Russell and her best friend, Emily Trocold, Shelley Benson and husband Dustin all of Savannah, Tennessee; a son, Kennie (Ken) Russell III and his fiance Mandy McDonald of Savannah, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Lillie Arinda Benson, Zander Creed Benson, Haven Love Benson, Blaine Durham and Emma Grace Hipps; 6 sisters, Janiece Prince and husband Charles, Connie Bain, Carmin Durbin and husband Donnie all of Savannah, Tennessee, Linda McFall and husband Billy of Waterloo, Alabama, Robbie Chase, Shelia Ray and husband Donnie all of Clifton, Tennessee; 2 brothers, Harold Russell, Keith Russell and wife Gail all of Savannah, Tennessee.
