Kenny "Boudreaux" Hanson

Kenny (Boudreaux) Hanson, born on July 20, 1948, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was the cherished son of the late Henry Murph and Gertrude Thornton Hanson.

On February 23, 1990, he was united in marriage with Sarah Phillip, creating a loving partnership that he deeply valued. Kenny dedicated over 30 years of his life to the Baton Rouge Police Department, where he proudly served and retired as a captain. In 2001, he relocated to Tennessee, and in 2003 began a fulfilling role at Farmers Co-op in Selmer, where he worked diligently for a decade. His life on the farm brought him joy, as he spent his time working with horses and engaging in various farm activities. He was also active in local Saddle Clubs in Chester, McNairy, and Hardin Counties.

Kenny was not only known for his work but also for his passion for photography, capturing the beauty around him. His spirit was further enriched by his involvement with All Saints Anglican Church in Jackson, TN.

Kenny departed this life on January 7, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 76. He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Sarah Hanson of Henderson, TN; two daughters, Katie Hanson-Dorr and her husband Brian of Sturgis, MS, and Tegan Hanson and her husband Stuart Nolan of Covington, LA; a son, Ethan Phillip Hanson of Henderson, TN; a grandson, Ezra Titus Clemens IV of Covington, LA; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Cameron Cayce Hanson, as well as a brother, Henry Murph Hanson Jr. 

Kenny's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

There will be a memorial service at All Saints Anglican Church in Jackson, TN at a later date.
