L. C. Britton

L. C. (Lonnie) Britton was born December 16, 1930 in Alcorn County, Mississippi the son of the late James H. and Nannie Bell Davis Britton.He was united in marriage to Mary Louvine Youngblood on December 15, 1953 . Mrs. Britton preceded him in death on February 10, 1999.Mr. Britton was a farmer and was also a trucker and mechanic for Spectrum Corporation in Selmer, TN. He was a member of Chewalla Baptist church.Mr. Britton departed this life on June 18, 2009 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by three sons, Carmon Britton and wife Patsy of Michie, TN, Carroll Britton of Ramer, TN, Clay Britton and wife Shari of Ramer, TN; stpeson, Alford Holloway and wife Cynthia of Chewalla, TN; a sister, Sylvia Eaker and husband Paul of Florence, AL; a brother, Jim J.H. Britton and wife Barbara of Poplar Bluff, MO; nine grandchildren, Tara Wilburn, Waylon Britton, Mary Britton, Dustin Britton, Darrell Holloway, Andrea Tidwell, Stephanie Holloway, Dewayne Kirk, Chas Kirk; 5 Great Grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Britton was preceded in death by a step daughter, Christine Holloway Kirk; two sisters, Faye Everett and husband Earl, Margaret Forsythe and husband Jesse; two brothers, Wallace W.M. Britton and wife Jewel, Robert Britton.
