Lacy Taylor

Lacy Taylorwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 24, 1920 the son of the late Dan and Ida Austin Taylor.On August 2, 1944 he was united in marriage to Lydia Clay, who preceded him in death on March 6, 2007.Mr. Taylor retired from Parris Manufacturing where he was employed for 44 years, he had worked in wood machining. He was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1942-1946. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.Mr. Taylor departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the age of 89 years, 16 days.Mr. Taylor is survived by a son, Jimmy Dan Taylor of Oxford, Mississippi; 2 brothers, Dan Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee and Jack Taylor of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Sally Wolfe of Savannah, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Amanda Hill; 2 great-grandchildren, Graham Davis and Jack Hill.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Holden and Fred Taylor; a sister, Mazie Stricklin.
