Services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with David Thompson and John Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery , Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 5, 6:00-9:00 pm and on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 9:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood,TN
Mr. Balentine departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Veterans Hosptial in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 4 Months, 5 Days.
He was born May 28, 1951 in Humboldt, Tennessee the son of Birdie Balentine of Iron City, TN and the late Ledie Coosenberry Balentine. In addition to his mother, Mr. Balentine was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Balentine
Mr. Balentine was a factory worker and Construction worker. He served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by other than his father; a daughter, Renae Bennett of Killen, AL;
grandchildren; Alexanda and Joshua Bennett
brother; Gary Balentine of Iron City, TN
sisters; Wanda Thompson of Iron City, TN and Sandra Collins of Collinwood,TN
