Larry Dexter Davis

Larry Dexter Davis was born December 14, 1959 in Waynesboro, TN the son of Carl Lynn Davis who survives of Waynesboro, TN and the late Willie Ann Mathis Davis. Mr. Davis departed this life on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 57 Years, 11 Months, 22 Days. Larry, a machinist at Genesco and Tennessee Valley Authority, was married to Jonnie Joyce Brown March 23, 1979. He was a member of Houston Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 127.

Other than his father, he is survived by his wife Jonnie Joyce Brown Davis of Olivehill, TN, a son, William Carl Davis, a brother, Mark Davis, and a sister, Darlene Davis Ramer and husband J.J. all of Waynesboro, TN, two grandchildren, Connor Davis and Cayden Davis.

Services will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Tracy Love and Ken Littrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery near Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Masonic Lodge #127 will serve as pallbearers.
