LARRY DAVIS

Henderson, TN: Larry Wayne Davis, age 78, passed away June 18, 2025, at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 27, 1946, in Chester County the son of the late Herman Odell and Lillian Ann Moore Davis. He attended Chester County Schools. He married Minnie Plunk on February 18, 1966. They made their home south of Henderson.

He worked at ITT Grinnell, which became Anvil International, working there over thirty years. He served in the TN National Guard, for six years, 1966-1972.

Larry’s retirement life was church, grandkids, and fishing. He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ and had served as a deacon for many years.

Mr. Davis is survived by a daughter, Vicki Stout (Brian) of Henderson and two grandchildren, Shelby Snyder and Blake Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Minnie Davis in April 2022, and three brothers, Kenneth Davis, Harrial Davis and Michael Davis.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Davis Parten officiating. Burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM service time Friday.
