Larry Joe Franks

Larry Joe Franks departed this life on November 1, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 59 Years, 9 Months, and 20 Days. He was born on January 12, 1955, the son of the late Oscar Kenneth Franks and Jacqueline Stricklin Franks, who survives.

He was united in marriage to Vernice Claudia Shepherd of Savannah, Tennessee on July 1, 1977, who survives.

Mr. Franks was a self-employed carpenter. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football.

In addition to his wife and mother, Larry is survived by his four daughters, Candie Mayes and Amber Franks, both of Savannah, Tennessee, Amanda Franks of Waterloo, Alabama, and Joanie Daniel and her husband, Keith, of Collinwood, Tennessee; one sister, Janice Averett and her husband, Bob, of Savannah, Tennessee; and seven grandchildren, Tyler Mayes, David Bonelli, Kaitlyn Mayes, Hunter Caperton, Jayden Daniel, Bentlee Pulley, Kylie Young.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Kenneth Franks.
