Larry Nobles
Jacks Creek, TN: Larry Ray Nobles, Retired Master Sergeant TNARNG Recruiting and Retention Command, age 68, died Thursday evening October 12, 2017 at his home at Jacks Creek.
Mr. Nobles wan born and reared in Chester County, the Jacks Creek community the son of the late Raford Sewell and Bobbie Faye Fletcher Nobles. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1967 and Union University in 1971. He worked as brick layer for fourteen years. He entered the Tennessee National Guard as an M Day solider and served as a medic. He retired as Master Sergeant after 44 years of total time served.
He was a member of the Pinson United Methodist Church. He was a master gardener and enjoyed his tractor, farm, working in the yard, and his family.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Sue Cobb Nobles of Jacks Creek, three sons; Chip Campbell of Memphis, Chris Campbell of Dunnsville, VA, and Jason Nobles of Luray, a daughter Teressa Smith of Jacks Creek, six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a sister Pat Jones of Jacks Creek.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Mr. Nobles’ son Rev. Chris Campbell officiating.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford – Casey Chapel from 5:00 until 9:00 PM Monday.
