Larry G. Pierce

Larry G. Pierce departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the age of 75 years, 11 months, 17 days. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on December 15, 1939, the son of the late Dan and Jessie Harris Pierce. On September 11, 1959, he was united in marriage to Joyce Riddell, who survives.

Larry had worked at the Courier during high school and later owned and operated GP Printing for 47 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting quail, woodworking, and gardening. He was a member of the Double Springs Baptist Church of Savannah, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Riddell Pierce of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Keith Pierce and Chris Pierce both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tim Pierce, Alli Pierce, Emma Pierce, and Molly Pierce; brother, Cordell Pierce of Lewisburg, Tennessee; and a sister, Martha Ruth Daily of Pulaski, Tennessee.
