He attended Chester County schools and graduated from Chester County High School in 1960, where he excelled in football and baseball and was nicknamed “Rabbit” because of his speed and quickness. He was voted Most Valuable Player in football his senior year.
He married Virginia Farris on August 22, 1961, and they began their 63-and-a-half-year marital journey together. They have lived in the West Chester Community of Chester County for over sixty years.
