Laura Paulk Callicott
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 20, 1921 the daughter of the late William Lee and Emma Hitchcock Paulk.
Ms. Callicott was a veteran of the U.S Army, having served in the Army Nurse Corp during World War II. She worked as a registered nurse and retired from the Tate County, Mississippi Board of Education. Ms. Callicott was a member of the Senatobia Presbyterian Church and a trustee for the Senatobia Public Library. She was an avid reader and bridge player and loved to travel.
She departed this life on February 11, 2007 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 86 years and 22 days.
Ms. Callicott is survived by a son, Albert LeNoir Callicott, Jr, and his wife, JoAnn, of
Meridian, Mississippi and a brother, Hugh C. Paulk of Belleaire, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Mary E. Paulk,
Kate McDougal, Alice Barnhill and Edna Ghignatti; and four brothers: Frank G. Paulk,
J. Wilbur Paulk and two infant brothers.
