On October 17, 1946, Louis Ross and Cinderella Davis were blessed with a beautiful baby girl Laura Frances Davis in Savannah, Tennessee.
Laura received her education from Dunbar High School. She worked at Brown Shoe Company for 22 years. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John Baptist Church and was a member of the choir for many years and currently held the position of trustee.
Laura was married to James E. Harris and to this union five children were born. She loved her family and took pride in having dinner at her house every Sunday. She also had a gift for gardening and loved taking care of her flowers, working in her yard and could always be found sitting on her front porch.
Laura was characterized by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by everyone in the community.
On Sunday morning November 22, 2015, God wanted to add another beautiful flower to His garden. That flower was Laura Frances Harris at the age of 69 years. She leaves to continue her life’s journey three daughters, Vickie Oakley (Randolph), Julia Barber and Sharvon Harris and two sons, Terry Harris and James Harris (Staci) all of Savannah, Tennessee.
