Laura Frances Hollis Ricketts of Angier, NC was born January 3, 1934 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late James Boyd and Nona Ann Lee Hollis. Mrs. Ricketts was a retired office manager.Mrs. Ricketts departed this life on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the age of 78 Years, 8 Months, 12 Days.She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Billy Joe Ricketts of Angier, NC; a daughter, Karen Griffin and husband, Paul of Dunn, NC; two sons, Thomas Keith Ricketts and wife, Alexa of Norfolk, VA, James Kurt Ricketts and wife, Carolyn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Lara Hussey, Emily Stockman and husband Robert, and Conner Griffin; two brothers, J. B. Hollis,Sr. and wife, Reba of Waynesboro, TN, Edwin Hollis of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Annalou Gobble of Waynesboro, TN, Patsy Nadine Sims and husband, Ray of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ricketts was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Dodd; a brother, Leroy Hollis. Services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Wayne County, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, in charge of local arrangements.
