Lawrence Winford Kirk

Mr. Kirk passed away on Friday, February 15, 2013, at West Tennessee Transitional Care in Jackson.



A native of McNairy County, he was the son of the late Vernie Dallas Kirk and Velma Carlin Kirk. On November 20, 1954, he married the former Edwina Maroney and they were married 58 years at the time of his passing. Mr. Kirk had worked for many years in Quality Control for Harmon Automotive. He lived all of his life in this area and was a member of the Toone Baptist Church. Mr. Kirk served in the US Navy aboard the USS Gilligan.



Mr. Kirk leaves his wife, Edwina M. Kirk of Toone, his daughter, Vonda K. Wilson and her husband, Jim, of Medon; his son, Larry Kirk and his wife, Mitzi, of Medon; his sister, Inez Hawkins of Selmer; and two brothers, Bill Kirk of Bolivar and Bob Kirk of Dickson. He also leaves three grandchildren, Connor Kirk, Bailey Kirk and Makenzie Wilson.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Kirk.
