Lawrence David Mathis was born January 26, 1958 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Mark David and Georgie Marlene Johnson Mathis.
Lawrence was a 1976 graduate of McNairy Central High School. He was employed as a mechanic for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, having worked in that position for approximately 20 years. In his free time, Lawrence enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He was a member of the Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Selmer.
Lawrence departed this life on March 30, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 56 Years, 2 Months, 4 Days. He is survived by a sister, Lisa Shearon and husband Ben of Jackson, TN, several cousins, extended family, and friends.
Memorial contributions in memory of Lawrence may be made to the Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Selmer.
