Lella Rogers

Lella Rogerswas born in Marion County, Tennessee on August 10, 1917 the daughter of the late George Washington and Lydia Ann Kilgore McCurry.On July 25, 1935 she was united in marriage to David Edward Rogers, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1997.Mrs. Rogers had lived in the Hardin County area most of her life and was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.Mrs. Rogers departed this life on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the age of 92 years, 1 month, 7 days.Mrs. Rogers is survived by a son, Howard Rogers and wife Katie of Savannah, Tennessee; a daughter, Reva Jo Parrish and husband Joe of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Dorothy Jean Morrison of Whitwell, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Evans McCurry and Porter McCurry; 2 sisters, Christine McCurry, and Irene Ruth.
