Leland B Nelms, 73, of Finger, TN passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2026.

Leland was born on February 27, 1953, in Vidalia, GA. As a baby, his family moved to Florida where he spent most of life before retiring in TN.

Leland proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and carried that sense of dedication and strength throughout his life.

He shared 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Evelyn. Together they raised a beautiful family centered in love.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Nelms; his son Brian Nelms, his daughter Brittney Karber (Robert A Karber Jr), his daughter Ashley Nelms; his three beautiful granddaughters Abigail Karber, Elizabeth Karber and Tinsley Nelms who brought him endless amounts of pride and joy.

Leland was welcomed into Heaven by his parents and his older brother. He is survived by one sister and one brother, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him.
