Leo Rainey

LEO RAINEYEnville, TN: Leo Odell Rainey, age 86 passed away September 27, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and raised in the Center Point Community of Chester County, the son of the late John H. and Lona Bell Tucker Rainey. He married Nina Sue Roach in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in Australia and Japan. After the service he returned to the farm his grandfather had bought in 1898 and farmed there all his life. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and the County ASCS. He was also a member of the Chester County Democratic Executive Committee.He is survived by his wife Nina Sue Roach Rainey of Enville; a son Freddie Rainey of Enville; a daughter, Francie Gilliam of Enville; three grandchildren and one step grandchild; six great-grandchildren and a brother, J.W. (Pete) Rainey of Enville.He was preceded in death by a brother, Freeman Rainey and a sister, Fairy Jones.
