Leo Jasper Reed

Leo Jasper Reed of Collinwood, TN departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 63 Years, 3 Days. He was born August 15, 1946 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Ernest Newton and Christine Dennis Reed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Reed was preceded in death by a grandchild, Gabrielle Reed and a brother, James Fay Reed.



He was united in marriage to Jean Keeton on November 4, 1970.



Mr. Reed was a retired factory worker with Murray Ohio Manufacturing . He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee, a former Volunteer Fireman, and a former Collinwood Police Officer.



He is survived by his wife, Jean Keeton Reed of Collinwood, TN;

sons, Anthony Reed and wife, Brandi of Collinwood, TN, Brad Reed and wife, Jennifer of Killen, Al; grandchildren; Austin, Lakelyn, and Parker Reed;

brothers, Ray and Bob Reed both of Mishawaka, IN, Cleo and Troy Reed both of Collinwood, TN, and Roger Reed of Jackson, TN; nieces and nephews.



Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Harold King officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, August 21, 2009 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
