Leon Butler,

Leon (Nig) Butler, Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, December 15, 2009, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 74 years and 19 days. He was born on November 26, 1935, in Chewalla, Tennessee, son of the late Leon Butler, Sr. and Ira Hazel Price Butler. He was united in marriage to Martha Marie Skinner on September 22, 1957. Mr. Butler was a drywall subcontractor.Survivors are his wife, Martha Marie Butler, of Ramer, Tennessee; two daughters, Jennifer Leigh Pittman and Collin of Chewalla, Tennessee, and Sherry Adkins and husband Larry of Middleton, Tennessee; a son, Randy Butler of Chewalla; seven grandchildren, Paige Coburn, Marina Cotner, Chelsea Butler, Hunter Allen, B. J. Stanfield, Colton Butler, and Caitlyn Butler; four great-grandchildren, Jared Taylor, Chandler Mercer, Sally Taylor, and Jaden Cotner. A host of other relatives and friends.Other than his parents, Mr. Butler was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Butler, on July 19, 1961, a brother, Audrey Price Butler, and a sister, Martha Lee Butler.
