Leslie LeRoy Howard Jr. (“Little Les”)
November 20, 1962 – June 18, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie LeRoy Howard Jr. ("Little Les", “Biggens”, ”Bucky”), age 62, of Morris Chapel, TN, who peacefully left us on Wednesday, June 18th, 2026.
Born in Kingston, NY, on November 20, 1962, Les was a son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for life and passion for people made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
A man of many talents, Les’s career spanned a wide array of fields. From working on the oil rigs in Texas to becoming a jack of all trades—whether it was as an electrician, semi-truck driver, or even a sound man for the band—Les was never afraid to roll up his sleeves and take on any challenge. Known for his ingenuity, creativity, and problem-solving skills, he could fix just about anything, and his solution-driven mindset made him a go-to person for anyone in need of a hand.
But beyond his skills, it was Les’s heart that made him unforgettable. He had a unique gift of making everyone feel like a friend. His warmth, sense of humor, and easygoing nature allowed him to strike up a conversation with anyone, turning strangers into lifelong companions. Whether he was making you laugh with a story or simply sitting with you in quiet companionship, Les’s presence was always felt.
More than three decades ago, Les found his spiritual home in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He made the journey to Utah, where he married and became the proud father of two daughters, Lindsay and Jessica. His faith and family were everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with his loved ones.
Les leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories. He is survived by his parents, Barbara & Les Howard Sr.; daughters Lindsay (Ryan) Harris and Jessica Howard; brother, Galen Howard; sister, Misty Howard; and grandchildren, Kai and Evelyn Harris. He is also survived by his nieces, Cyera Lones, Ava Lones, and Shyann Bishop, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
