Lester Bell, born on November 19, 1946, in Hardeman County, Tennessee, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Bolivar, Tennessee. He was a respected member of his community and a devoted family man.
Lester dedicated 29 years of his career as a supervisor with Harman Automotive, showcasing his leadership and commitment. Following his tenure there, he spent over a decade in sales with Frost Well Supply and Wilson Well Company, where he continued to exemplify his strong work ethic and dedication to his profession.
He proudly served in the National Guard for six years, embodying the values of duty and service throughout his life. Those who knew Lester appreciated his love for nature; he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. He took great pride in his yard, often found mowing and manicuring it to perfection. Additionally, he cherished visits to various restaurants, with a particular fondness for catfish.
Lester's legacy will continue on through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Bell of Middleton, whom he married on October 26, 1967, and their daughter, Sharon Bishop, along with her husband, Randy, also of Middleton. He was the cherished brother of Dorothy Gatewood and her husband, Wayne of Saulsbury. His warmth and guidance will be deeply missed by his grandsons, Jay Bishop of Middleton and Ben Bishop, along with his wife, Laura Beth of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as his great grandson, Oliver Bishop.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Wright Bell and Bernice Madge Kirk Bell, as well as his son, Michael Bell and his sister, Linda Ann Bell.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on October 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Reaves Cemetery, located at 110 Reaves Church Lane, Middleton, Tennessee.
Lester Bell will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, his contributions to the community, and his passion for the simple joys of life.
