Lester Burl Sutton

Lester Burl Sutton of Eastview, TN departed this life on June 11, 2016 at his home at the age of 84 Years, 8 Months, 1 Day. He was born October 10, 1931 in McNairy County the son of the late Willie and Lester Morris Sutton. He was united in marriage to Doris Richard on December 5, 1952.

Mr. Sutton owned and operated Sutton Electronics in Selmer prior to retiring. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He was a Gideon, a volunteer with Loaves & Fishes, and a former Alderman for the town of Eastview. Burl was a Boy Scout leader for several years and served his country honorably in the U. S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Doris Richard Sutton of Eastview; three daughters, Susan King and husband Neil of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Kristie Younger of Selmer, TN, Jennifer Rhodes and husband Steve of Eastview, TN; a son, Morris Sutton and wife Anna of Johannesburg, South Africa; nine grandchildren, Nichole Sullivan, Josh Younger, Laura Younger, Emily King, Lucy Mary Szydlowski, Wes Rhodes, Molly Hamm, Jude Sutton, Jessica Craven; six great grandchildren, Amara Younger, Clara Younger, Ella Younger, Tyler Sullivan, Reece Sullivan, Zeppelin Szydlowsk; a sister, Betty Kirk of Smyrna, TN and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sutton was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Keith Younger; three sisters, Fannie Jane Knight, Gladys Wardlow, Lois Sutton; two brothers, James Sutton, Terl Sutton.
