Letha Leona Brown
was born in Hardin County, TN on August 19, 1916 the daughter of the late Caleb Newton (Newet) and Florence Marshall Creasy.
On August 5, 1950 she was united in marriage to Adam Brown, who preceded her in death on January 19, 1989.
Mrs. Brown was a member Sinner's Hope Church. She was a resident of Sardis, Tennessee and a former resident of the Lebanon Community near Saltillo. She had worked for Brown Shoe Company, but had mostly worked as a baby-sitter, taking care of many children. She was an outstanding mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Brown enjoyed gardening, going to church and visiting with friends.
Mrs. Brown departed this life on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the age of 93 years, 3 days.
Mrs. Brown is survived by 2 daughters, Faye Phillips of Sacramento, CA and Wanda Phillips of Mexico City, Mexico; a brother, Clifford Creasy of Collinsville, IL; grandchildren, Sharon Scott Hagy, Terri Scott, Melissa Flannigan, and 11 other grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Sue Phillips; a son, Tommy Ray Phillips; a brother, Arlee Creasy; grandmother, Anna Jane Hopper, and a grandson, Robert Scott.
