Lettie Mae Morris

Lettie Mae Holt Morris of Waynesboro, TN was born September 10, 1924 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Riley and Minnie Lee Turnbo Holt. She was united in marriage to Roy Lee Morris on April 2, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2008.



Mrs. Morris was a retired inspector at Clifton Manufacturing and was of the Pentecostal Faith.



Mrs. Morris departed this life on November 16, 2009 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 6 Days.



She is survived by two daughters, Mae Morris Pulley and husband, Royce of Waynesboro, TN, Linda Morris Davis and husband, James of Columbia, TN; three grandchildren, Misty Turnbow, Tommy Davis, Tammy Moss; four great -grandchildren, Chase Turnbow, Sawyer Turnbow, Spencer Turnbow, Jase Moss; nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dana Michelle Pulley; three brothers, Wesley Holt, Edward Holt, Grady Holt; two sisters, Gracie Holt Smotherman, Lessie Holt Franks.



Services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with James T. Turnbow Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Worley Cemetery,Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Roy Staggs, Robert Goodman, Earl Morris, Malcolm Davis, William Earl Franks.
