Lila Virginia Bridges

June 23, 1951 — September 10, 2011

Ms. Bridges, age 60, died Saturday morning at Bolivar General Hospital.



A native of Chalybeate, MS, she was the daughter of the late John Wilson Bridges and Callie Pearl Garrett Bridges. She was a graduate of Middleton High School, Class of 1969 and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. She was a member of the Oak Grove Independent Methodist Church and enjoyed all types of gospel and country music, playing games on the computer and spending time with her grandson.



Survivors include her daughter, Ashley McKee of Pocahontas; three sisters, Elizabeth Hopper of Tiplersville, MS, Betty Whisnant of Pocahontas and Linda Ragan of Middleton; four brothers, John Amos Jackson and Harold Bridges, both of Pocahontas; Donald Jackson and Howard Bridges, both of Middleton; her grandson, Jadon Patterson of Pocahontas; numerous nieces and nephews.
