Mrs. Chandler passed away Friday night, June 27, 2014 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Lacy and Cercie Willoughby Thornton. She was the widow of Bruce William Fawcett who passed away in April, 1983. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Pendarvis Cryer and husband Robert of Bolivar, and Barbara Smith and husband Bill of Jackson; two sons, William "Bill" Fawcett and wife Phyllis of Jackson, and Frankie Fawcett and wife Lisa of Bolivar; four sisters, Katherine Howell of Bolivar, Margie Clayton and Janis King both of Cloverport, and Georgia Hillhouse of Humboldt; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Earnest Thornton, a son Jerry Wayne Fawcett and a grandson, Blaine Fawcett.
