Lillian Franks

Lillian Franks was born on September 14,1941, the daughter of the late Arthur and Zada Bell Murphy Cummings. On July 25, 1961, she married Arthur McKinley Franks, who preceded her in death on January 2, 2010. Lillian departed this life on March 21, 2017, at the age of 75 years, 6 months, and 7 days.

Before retiring from Brown Shoe, Lillian worked at Angelica and then Kay Windsor. She lived in Gillis Mills before she lived in Savannah, Tennessee. Lillian was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed playing cards, dominos, and softball. Lillian loved talking to people, watching her daughter play softball, sewing, quilting, listening to gospel music, and going to the creek. She also loved playing softball and spending time with her grandchildren.

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Debbie Lynn Franks; son, Timmie Lane Franks and wife Paulette Franks; sister, Charlene Franks; brother, John Thomas Cummings; and grandchildren, Wesley Blake Franks, Ayla Chase Wilson, Nicole Williams, and Johnathon Cupples.

Along with her parents and her husband, Lillian was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kathleen Burlerson; brothers, Silas "Bo" Cummings and J.C. Cummings; and a grandchild, Megan Paige Franks.
