Lillie Robertine Cavazos

Mrs. Lillie Robertine Cavazos, age 92 of Toone, Tennessee, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, November 18, 2015 at her home.

A native of Hardeman County, Mrs. Cavazos was born Friday, July13, 1923 to James Thomas and Hattie Lee Young Dillard. She graduated with the class of 1941 from Bolivar Central High School and worked at Harmon Automotive, Western Mental Health Institute and First South Bank. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the cemetery committee. She was united in marriage to Mr. Elijio Christie Cavazos, who preceded her in death in May of 2006.

Survivors include her daughters, Rosa Ross of Toone, Rita Holt of Cordova, Reva Robinson of Lenexa, Kansas, Rena Fuller of Houston, Texas, and Ramona Cavazos of Houston, Texas; sons, Robert Cavazos of Nashville, and Richard Cavazos of Houston, Texas; sister, Margie Vales of Toone; grandchildren, David Sipes, Andrew Holt, Megan Smith, Matt Robinson, Gabriel Fuller, Deisree Fuller, Calin Cavazos, Cassandra Cavazos, and Lillie Cavazos; great-grandchildren, Christie Sipes and Patric Sipes; great-great-grandchildren, Carson Alexander Simons, Knoxx Bentlie Wilson, Bayleigh Sipes, Mia Smith, Reed Douglas Smith, and Rowan Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Fred Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Katherine and Boyd Caldwell; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Frances Dillard; and grandson, Christopher Allen Sipes.

Charitable contributions made in memory of Mrs. Cavazos may be sent to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
