LINDA BURKEEN
Henderson, TN: Linda Ann Buckley Burkeen age 68 passed away December 6, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Dyersburg, TN.
She was born June 28, 1945 in Luray, TN the daughter of Nashie Blankenship and the late Cleo Buckley. She was married to Billy Burkeen July 18, 1964. She was a member of the Luray Baptist Church. Linda was office manager for Harville Lures, Morrison’s of Chickasaw and manager for Discount Auto Parts. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, being outdoors and working in her flowers.
She is survived by her husband Billy Burkeen of Henderson; a daughter, Dana Burkeen of Dyersburg; a son, Doug Burkeen of Henderson; her mother, Nashie Blankenship of Lexington; three sisters, Anita Greenway and husband Larry of Luray, Judy Brantley of Huron and Penny Barnes of Smyrna and three brothers, Terry Buckley and wife Nancy of Medina, Don Buckley and wife Pam of Luray and Roger Buckley and wife Lisa of Luray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Brian Burkeen in 1990 and a brother, Gary Buckley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Clint Burkhead officiating with burial in the Henderson City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 6 PM until 9 PM Sunday.
