Linda Burns

August 13, 1947 — February 18, 2013

Mrs. Burns died Monday evening, February 18, 2013, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.



A native of Covington, TN, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Lavern Faulk Mize. A 1966 graduate of Byars-Hall High School in Tipton County, she lived in Bolivar from 2007-2012, where she worked as a cook for the Buffet House Restaurant. On January 27, 1979, she married Bro. Larry Burns. She was a member of The Church Of God in Pinson. At the church, she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Preacher's Wife. Mr. and Mrs. Burns moved to Jackson in December, 2012.



She leaves her husband, Bro. Larry Burns of Jackson; a step-daughter, Tina Nelson of Toone; two sons, Stephen Hayes of Moscow and Larry Burns, Sr. of Toone; a sister, Janie Hurt of Memphis; and 12 grandchildren.



In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by two sons, Bradley Lewis Hayes and John Leslie Hayes.
