Linda Shands Curry departed this life on Friday, October 16, 2020, at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 12 days. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on August 4, 1948, the daughter of the late Fred and Geraldine Fletcher Shands. On October 4, 1965, she was united in marriage to Carrol Fay "Shorty" Curry, who survives.
Linda was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and Walnut Grove Senior Citizens. She loved to draw, going to yard sales, crocheting items for children, both local and overseas, writing songs and poems, and spending time with family, especially, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Carrol "Shorty" Curry of Waterloo, Alabama; children, Tammy Lewis and her husband Tim of Savannah,Tennessee, and Timothy Curry and his wife Rebecca of Iuka, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jessica Thomas and her husband Justin, and Timothy Lewis II and his significant other Amber Jones; great grandchildren, Kinslee Thomas and Timothy J. Lewis III; and her sister, Carol "Bug" Gravett of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her sisters, Ann Bevis, Pat Barkley, and Rebecca Shands; and brothers, Freddie Shands, Ricky Shands, and Tommy Shands.
