Linda Gray was born on April 30, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Eugene Butts and Marilyn Rayson.
On February 24, 2005, she was united in marriage to Danny Gray, who preceded her in death on February 9, 2020.
Linda worked for Hardin Medical Center in the Medical Records Department and Country Home Health in Savannah, Tennessee. She attended Church on the Rock, Souls Harvest Church of God, and Love & Truth of Savannah.
Linda was known as a caring and encouraging friend, dear sister, and mother. Her life was forever changed when she found faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ, while attending Teen Challenge in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After later moving to Savannah, she found a community that became an important part of her life and allowed her to devote herself to helping others. Through her own experiences, she was able to offer understanding, support, and encouragement to women facing difficult seasons in life. Her faith remained central to who she was, and she was often known for her prayers, love of worship music, and willingness to encourage those around her. She departed this life on April 30, 2026, in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 68 years, on her birthday.
She is survived by her daughters, Monique Scholes Bruce (Jason) of Louisa, Virginia; Misty Alexander Hendricks (Andy) of Leander, Texas; and Genna Alexander McMillin (Andrew) of Portland, Texas; stepdaughter, Jenny Davis of Savannah, Tennessee; bonus daughter, Cyndi Love Garland (Jeff) of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Cheri Lawson (Rick), Vicki McKay, Barbara Mitchell, Teri Whitlatch (Tony), Brenda Montano (Pat), and Joni Butts; brother, Larry Smith; and grandchildren, Alexander Hendricks, Annistyn Hendricks, Bubba Davis, Abby Davis, and Baylee Davis Clayton (Trey).
In addition to her parents and husband, Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Alexander; grandparents, George Trotter, Gladys Trotter, Marcus Butts, and Vivian Butts; and sister, Kathi Carani.
