She was united in marriage to Dennis Hogan on June 18, 1971, and together they shared more than 55 years of love and devotion.
Linda worked as a billing clerk for ITT for over 20 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
She had a generous and compassionate spirit and faithfully supported numerous charitable organizations, including the Corinth Animal Shelter, the VA Hospital, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Her kindness was evident in every aspect of her life, especially in the love she showed to animals. She adored her beloved cat, Leo, and lovingly cared for several neighborhood cats, making sure they were always fed.
Faith was an important part of Linda's life. She grew up attending Calvary Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi, where she faithfully played the piano until her marriage. After marrying Dennis, she became a member of Chewalla Baptist Church in Chewalla, Tennessee, where she continued sharing her musical talents by playing both the piano and organ for the congregation.
Linda was an avid quilter and treasured the time she spent creating beautiful quilts alongside her mother and daughter. She also enjoyed knitting, another hobby she shared with her daughter, creating both treasured keepsakes and lasting memories together. She also loved gathering with family and friends for a game of Rook.
Mrs. Hogan departed this life on July 15, 2026, in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 79 years and 16 days.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Hogan of Corinth, Mississippi; her daughter, Ginger Hogan Strauch and husband, Jesse, of Astoria, Oregon; her granddaughter, Elisha Shasha Strauch of Astoria, Oregon; and two sisters-in-law, Lisa Marie Rutledge of Beech Bluff, Tennessee, and Diann Pate of Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her nephew, Chris Jones; her niece, Sherry Jones; her father-in-law, W.C. Cayce Hogan; and her mother-in-law, Mary Marie Dickey Hogan.
Linda will be remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family, her faith, and God's creation. Whether she was playing the piano at church, stitching together a quilt, caring for a stray animal, or spending time with those she loved, she found joy in serving others. Her kindness and quiet strength will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
