She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on February 3, 1945, the daughter of the late Russell and Vera Ray Hoyt. Linda had been an assembler at Johnson Controls for 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, was an avid reader, and loved gardening.
Linda is survived by her sons, Gerald Cheaves and wife Regina of Selmer, Tennessee, Roy Cheaves and wife Rhonda of South Pittsburgh, Tennessee; sister, Betty Basham of Clifton, Tennessee; grandchildren, Justin Cheaves, Blake Cheaves, and Jacob Cheaves; step grandchildren, Nickols Drumwright, Jenny Kawano, and Brandi Prater; 2 step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Blake Cheaves.
