Linda Faye Rees, age 63, of Waynesboro was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 4, 1942 a daughter of the late John Homer and Mary Elizabeth Bateman Hatcher. She died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro after an extended illness. She was a hair dresser and was a writer for the Wayne County News. She was a member of Popes Chapel United Methodist Church.

Sons; Tony Ray of Smyrna, TN and Tim Ray of Killen, AL
Daughter; Nancy Brock of Macon, GA
Stepdaughter; Melissa Sherrill of Beech Creek Community
