Linnie Franklin (Frank) Hardy, 83, of Bethel Springs, TN, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2010. He was born in Memphis, TN, on June 20, 1926, and served in the United States Navy as a Second Class Aviation Radio Gunner during World War II. Frank worked as plant superintendent for J and L Steel and retired as manager of plant operations for Edgecomb Metals in Memphis. He was a devoted member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eloise Hardy; three sons, Ricky, Tommy, and Steve of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Susan Faulkner of Rossville, TN; and a brother, Garner (Koot) Hardy of Memphis, TN. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Watson and Lela Johns Hardy; two sisters, Dorothy Hardy Douglas and Betty Hardy Billings; and a brother, John Thomas (J. T.)
