David Cornelius departed this life on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 11 days. He was born in Guntersville, Alabama on February 7, 1950, the son of the late Ernest Manfield and Nellie Jane Beshires Cornelius.
Known best as Little David, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, and loved watching David, Jr. play baseball. He had lived in Hardin County for 42 years, but was currently living in Attalla, Alabama. He had worked for Rainbow Memorial Gardens in Gadsden, Alabama for 12 years.
Little David is survived by his son, David Henry Cornelius, Jr. and his wife, Megan of Falls Church, Virginia; grandchildren, David Henry (Hank) Cornelius, III and Declan Huff Cornelius; sisters, Ernistine Murphy of Huntsville, Alabama and Hattie Davis of Counce, Tennessee; and brother, Vernon Nell Cornelius of Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Ronnie, and James Donald Cornelius; and sister, Bobbie York.
