Lizzie Louella Tranum

Mrs. Lizzie Louella Tranum, age 93 of Middleton, passed from this life Tuesday evening, June 16, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital.She was born in Hardeman County March 11, 1916 to the late Hollis and Della Bass Majors. She married P. J. Tranum, who preceded her in death in 1973, and lived all of her life in the Hardeman County area as a homemaker. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Bolivar.She leaves as her survivors, four daughters, Dorothy Mullen of Toone, Ruthie Stewart of Middleton, Betty Patterson of Silerton and Sandra McAlpin of Middleton; five sons, Jimmy Tranum of Middleton, Bobby Tranum of Toone, Billy Tranum of Middleton, John Robert Tranum of Middleton and Travis Tranum of Middleton; a sister, Martha Lilly Cole of Bolivar; a brother, Gaylord Majors of Bolivar; twenty-two grandchildren; fifty-eight great-grandchildren; and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Majors, Paul Majors, Dallas Majors and Wilburn Majors; two sisters, Opal Smith and Ivy McKee; a grandson, Robert Anthony Tranum; a granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Tranum; and a son-in-law, Chas Mullen.
