Lloyd Bell, 70, of Bolivar, departed this life Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The son of the late Raymond Lester and Nellie Louise Rixie Bell, he was born in Middleton and graduated high school there in 1970. He married the former Patricia Ann Naylor on August 1, 1974 and lived his adult life in Bolivar.
Mr. Bell served the City of Bolivar as Street Sanitation and Landfill Supervisor for 45 years. During the same time period, he was a volunteer fireman for Bolivar. A member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time on the farm when he wasn't working. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Ann Bell of Bolivar; two sons, Jason Bell (Carolyn) and Chris Bell (Mallory), both of Bolivar; grandchildren, Logan, Morgan and Fitz Bell and "one on the way", all of Bolivar; two brothers, James Bell (Patsy) and Alton Bell (Vicki), both of Middleton; one sister, Brenda Davis of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews.

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
