LOIS BEVIS
was born on September 8, 1928, in Wayne County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Turner Whit and Roxie McFall Hinton.
On October 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert Owen Bevis, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2009.
Mrs. Bevis previously lived in Stantonville, Tennessee before moving to Lutts, Tennessee. She worked as a seamstress for the Brown Shoe Company in Savannah, Tennessee. She was a member of the Second Creek Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, flower gardening, and she also loved to spend time with her church family.
Mrs. Bevis departed this life on June 26, 2013, at the Hardin Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age 84 years, 9 months and 18 days.
She is survived by four daughters, Jeanette Phillips and her husband, David of Lutts, Tennessee, Janice Hopkins and her husband, Bobby of Stantonville, Tennessee, Becky Franks and her husband, Tony of Lutts, Tennessee and Vicki Wilkerson and her husband, Mickey of Lutts, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Roger Phillips, Frankie Phillips, Brandon Franks, Joshua Balentine, Nicole Dawson, and Meagan Wilkerson; twelve great-grandchildren, Crystal Peden, Rocky Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, Derek Phillips, Brianna Phillips, Kendall Phillips, Haylee Stricklin, Tim Jackson, Lillian Franks, Landyn Balentine, Brodie Dawson and Emma Dawson.
In addition to her husband Owen Bevis, and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; five brothers, Lawson Hinton, Marvin Hinton, Clark Hinton, Boyce Hinton and RD Hinton; four sisters, Cora McGee, Ora McFall, Flora McFall, and Dona Morris; and one grandchild, Justin Franks.
