Lois Rochell Dodson

Mrs. Lois Rochell Dodson departed this life Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home in Columbia, TN at the age of 83 Years, 5 Months, 20 Days. She was born September 24, 1933 in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late William Richard and Bertha Ellen Kelly Rochell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by son, Michael V. Dodson, daughter, Teresa Gail Dodson, brothers, Odell and Ray Rochell.

She was united in marriage to Amuel Buren Dodson on July 4, 1951 and he preceded her in death on October 30, 2010.

Mrs. Dodson was a retired supervisor with General Motors and attended Calvary Hill Church of God in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

She is survived by her grandson, Thomas Blake Dodson of Waynesboro, TN; brothers, Thomas Rochell of Macomb, MI, Floyce Rochell of Winter Haven, FL, Kenneth Rochell of Lawrenceburg, TN and Edward, Gary, and David Rochell all of Collinwood, TN; sisters, Joy Snook of Lawrenceburg, TN, Joan Jones of Nolensville, TN and Faye Risner of Florence, AL; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Donald Goodrum and Charles Fritts officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the funeral home.
