Lois Hodge

Mrs. Lois Margaret Jacobs Hodge of Middleton departed this life at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 12 days Tuesday morning, August 21, 2012 at Carriage Court of Memphis.



Mrs. Hodge was born in Middleton December 9, 1925 to the late Booker and Lois Sasser Jacobs. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1944 as the valedictorian of her class and moved to Memphis in 1947, the same year in which she married Mr. Walter Gale Hodge who preceded her in death September 2, 2009. She worked for Mid-South Title in Memphis as the Operations Manager and was the first female to ever hold that position at that company. She worked there until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Germantown Baptist Church and loved to travel and get together with family.



Survivors include two nephews, Larry Hodge of Clifton and Jerry Hodge of Olive Branch, MS; three great-nephews and four great-great-nephews; and one brother-in-law, W. T. Hodge, Jr. (Gwen) of Medon.
